The 71st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Clinical Laboratory Medicine (SLM) 2024 will be held in Osaka, Japan, from 28 November to 1 December 2024.The Japanese Society of Clinical Laboratory Medicine (SLM) was founded in 1951, as the Round Table of Clinical Pathology, became the Japanese Society of Pathology in 1953, the Japanese Society of Pathology in 1955, and the current Japanese Society of Clinical Society of Clinical Laboratory Medicine. It is a traditional academic society that has contributed to the development of Japanese medicine as a representative academic society for clinical laboratory medicine. Laboratory medicine is a discipline related to all fields of medicine and is the foundation of evidence-based clinical medicine. In addition to contributing to the development of research and education in clinical laboratory medicine as the Japan Society of Clinical Laboratory Medicine, the Society also contributes to the development of clinical laboratory tests in healthcare, ensuring quality and accuracy, the implementation and evaluation of appropriate clinical tests in health insurance, and clinical testing. The Japan Society of Clinical Laboratory Medicine (JSLM) is committed to the Japanese Society of Clinical Laboratory Medicine, which will continue to contribute to the development of healthcare in Japan through clinical testing.
