The 11th Biennial European Multidisciplinary Colorectal Cancer Congress (EMCCC) 2024 will be held from November 30 to December 4, 2024.The European Multidisciplinary Colorectal Cancer Congress (EMCCC) is truly a European meeting that provides a platform for in-depth multidisciplinary interactions between the various fields of research involved. The EMCCC has been initiated by the Dutch Colorectal Cancer Group (DCCG) since 2001.Colorectal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors, and in recent years much progress has been made in understanding the biology and treatment of this disease. These advances cover the entire spectrum of research, including genetics, biology, pathology/prognostic markers, surgery, screening, systemic therapy, radiation therapy, and imaging. This means that preclinical and clinical research is becoming more multidisciplinary oriented. There will be separate workshops on surgery, medical oncology, radiation therapy, pathology, imaging, gastroenterology, and genetics, but all other sessions will be plenary to allow for optimal interaction between all disciplines. The format of the meeting will include workshops, keynote lectures, controversy sessions, satellite symposia, and sessions on prevention and screening, diagnosis and follow-up, translational research, multidisciplinary management, genetics, and treatment evaluation.
