Join us for the 39th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Society for Biomaterials in Kingston, Ontario! DATE: May 21-23, 2025 LOCATION: Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario! The Canadian Biomaterials Society (CBS) is an incorporated not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of biomaterials science, technology, and education in Canadian universities, industry, and government.Founded in 1973, CBS has a long history of commitment to undergraduate and graduate biomaterials education.CBS, along with the United States, Europe, Japan, Australia, China, and Korea, is a leading organization based on the International Union of Biomaterials Science and Engineering Society (IUS-BSE) as a member of the International Society for Biomaterials. The World Congress on Biomaterials is held every four years. The Society organizes a national scientific meeting once a year (except in years when the World Congress is held). Each year, the Society offers travel awards to students who excel in their fields. This applies to the World Congress, the Canadian meeting, and in some cases the annual meeting of the American Society for Biomaterials. Awards are also provided for conference presentations and visiting scholarships to enable travel between Canadian biomaterials laboratories. Like Canada itself, CBS is officially bilingual. Abstract submissions and presentations at the annual meeting can be made in either English or French.
