The 2025 Annual Meeting of the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society (ANMS) will be held August 8-10, 2025 in Minneapolis, MN.The American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society (ANMS) is an organization founded in 1980 dedicated to the study of Neurogastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Motility as well as functional gastrointestinal disorders. It is a multidisciplinary society that leads the field of neurogastroenterology by fostering excellence in research, education, training and patient care. Neurogastroenterology encompasses the study of the brain, gut, and their interactions related to the understanding and management of gastrointestinal motility and functional gastrointestinal disorders. COURSE OUTLINE: This course is designed to enhance participants' knowledge of how to provide excellent clinical care and how to apply innovative approaches in the clinical management of motility and neurogastrointestinal disorders. This session will provide participants with enhanced competence in the underlying mechanisms that control common gastrointestinal motility disorders and disorders of bowel-brain interactions and will provide a framework for the development of a multidisciplinary plan for optimal diagnosis and treatment. Discussions will cover the relevant pathophysiology of these disorders as well as new findings from cutting-edge research to clarify issues of ongoing debate in the movement community and improve understanding of how the application of emerging clinical innovations can impact beneficiary outcomes.
