The United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) was founded in 1986 as a result of the merger of the U.S. and Canadian Sections of the IAP|AP and currently has a membership of more than 10,000 pathologists, making it the largest of the IAP's 54 global sections.USCAP is committed to training better pathologists. It accomplishes this through its mission to provide the ultimate in continuing medical education and translational research to improve practice and patient outcomes worldwide. While achieving global health through education is a strategic initiative, the diversity of educational activities offered by USCAP ensures personalized education that will impact personalized medicine. Modern educational delivery methods using digital assets prepare pathologists for the next generation of learning and may provide outreach to colleagues working in resource-poor countries.
