2025 The 110th Annual Anniversary Meeting of the American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) will be held March 28-30, 2025 The American Medical Women's Association (AMWA), founded in 1916 in Chicago, is the only oldest multi-specialty organization dedicated to advancing women's medicine and improving women's health, and its membership is comprised of physicians, residents, medical students, and healthcare professionals. Its members are physicians, residents, medical students, and healthcare professionals. For nearly a century, the American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) has worked to advance the status of women in medicine. While the number of women choosing careers in medicine has increased dramatically, the percentage of women in senior leadership positions has not. To rectify this situation, AMWA has undertaken ambitious advocacy efforts that include research, constituency building, mentoring, leadership development, and policy reforms to achieve environmental and institutional transformation.AMWA membership is comprised of physicians, residents, medical students, premedical students, healthcare professionals, and other supporters.AMWA is the oldest multispecialty organization dedicated to advancing women in the medicine, advocating for equity and ensuring excellence in healthcare. The Annual Meeting is highly regarded for the opportunity it provides to inspire current and potential members while providing valuable networking opportunities for participants. Each year our poster sessions become stronger and reflect the mission of our organization. Faculty, residents, fellows, and medical and pre-medical students are encouraged to attend the 2023 Annual AMWA Meeting by submitting an abstract for presentation.
